Can I fill a paddling pool during a hosepipe ban?

Filling or topping up a domestic swimming or paddling pool with mains water is commonly restricted during a Temporary Use Ban. The restriction targets the volume of water used, so smaller, non-refilled uses and stored rainwater are usually allowed.

Filling a paddling pool, swimming pool or garden pond from the mains is typically restricted during a Temporary Use Ban. Some notices allow filling on health grounds, for example paddling pools needed during a heat health alert.
